Tehran heart center is equipped with Philips MRI 1.5 Tesla scanner for imaging of brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, joints, organs and MR mammography for detailed examination and diagnosis of breast disease. In spite of limitations on printing films, MRI images of all patients are printed and delivered with MRI reports. These images are also available for physicians through PACS. This center has contract with all health insurances and the cost of imaging is lower compared with that of other centers.

Having the benefit of qualified experts and professionals, this center is proud to be in line with the goals of the hospital that is providing diagnostic services with the best quality and in shortest time at minimal cost. General and specialized CT scans are performed in this center with or without contrast dye injection. In spite of limitations on printing, printed films of CT scan are delivered to patients along with their reports. In addition to spiral CT scanner, this department also benefits the use of Multi detector (DUAL) Siemens 256-slice in CT angiography.

Radiology center is equipped with two fixed Swissray devices with high-quality imaging. In addition to these devices, there also exist 18 portable devices used for hospitalized patients, making this hospital one of the exclusive ones in this respect; providing the best quality services with lowest cost.
Besides the existing fixed ultrasound devices, the center is also equipped with portable appliances used for hospitalized patients and Doppler ultrasound for arteries sonography.

Cardiac CT angiography is a new diagnostic method for the evaluation of coronary arteries without a need for invasive cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography (the current standard method). Dual source Multislice CT angiography device has two 128-row detectors that are 256-slice and is one of the best devices used for CT angiography in the country. CT angiography technique using X-rays and Multislice technology with contrast material injection is used for imaging of blood flow patterns in coronary arteries. In comparison with conventional angiography, which is performed by arterial catheter placement through the femoral artery (in the groin) at the entrance of the aorta and coronary arteries into which dye is injected, CT angiography is less invasive and more convenient for patient. In this imaging procedure no catheter is imported into the main vessels, but contrast material is injected using a specific pump (injector) through IV into small peripheral veins (usually right). With this method, patients go through no pain, they are not required to be hospitalized after the procedure and they can continue their daily activities. CT angiography is mostly used to reject coronary heart disease in low-risk patients. However it should be noted that CT angiography is not limited to the study of coronary arteries and is also used to evaluate vertebral, cerebral and carotid arteries (in a stroke, syncope and etc.), pulmonary arteries (in suspicious pulmonary embolism), renal arteries (in kidney failure, hypertension or suspicious renal arteries stenosis), and extremities (peripheral vascular disease or embolism).CTA is also used to check for the existence of possible calcium plaques and their position in the way of coronary arteries, to determine risk of coronary arteries disease as a follow-up for patients undergone CABG, to check for dilatation (aneurysm) or narrowing of aorta and other major blood vessels, …
For CTA, patients are to make an appointment and it requires some preparations.
